Movie Mania

Join us Thursday, November 13 in the Large Conference Room at 1pm for 9-5.

Three female secretaries decide to get revenge on their tyrannical, sexist boss by abducting him and running the business themselves. The trio spend a night together having drug induced fantasies of killing the slave driving         chauvinist. One of them panics the following day when she      suspects she really has poisoned the tyrant. Popcorn and water will be provided.

Book Club

Tuesday, November 11 from 5:30-7pm in the Large Conf. Rm. we will be discussing Under the Tulip Tree by Michelle Shocklee.

16 year old Lorena Leland’s dreams of a rich and fulfilling life as a writer are dashed when the stock market crashes in 1929. Seven years into the Great       Depression, Rena’s banker father has retreated into the bottle, her sister is married to a lazy charlatan and gambler, Rena is an unemployed newspaper   reporter. Eager for any writing job, Rena accepts a position      interviewing former slaves for the Federal Writer’s Project. There she meets Frankie Washington, a 101 year old woman whose honest yet tragic past captivates Rena.

Open Craft Night

Monday, November 10 from 2-6:30pm in the Maker Space for Open Craft Night! All ages welcome. Children      under 8 need adult supervision. Turn your imagination into inspiration. Various craft supplies will be provided.

Beginning ASL Class

This is a free class where we will learn basic ASL, including the alphabet, numbers, commonly used signs/phrases. This class is for those who need a   refresher or are first time learners. The goal is to be able to hold a basic  conversation with a Deaf person. Deaf culture will be introduced as well. There will be a limit of 15 people. Registration is required. We will meet in the Large Conference Room from   6-7pm Wednesdays:

Wednesday, November 26 from 1pm until gone. (1 per patron) Grab a pack of goldfish crackers in the Lobby with a featured short story! The Secret Goldfish: 4th grader Sawyer swears his goldfish can wink, fly at night, and help with math. Soon the whole school is buzzing with wonder.

Wicked Part 1

Thursday, November 13 at 4pm in the Large Conference Room, we will be watching Wicked Part 1.

Misunderstood because of her green skin, a young woman named Elphaba forges an unlikely but profound      friendship with Glinda, a student with unflinching desire for popularity.         Following an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroad as their lives begin to take very different paths.

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is starting a program to help kids learn about generosity and philanthropy. It's never to early to start helping others! it is not about the donation but instead about learning how you can help.

Donations will go towards Junior Achievement, Boomerang Backpacks, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Find the banks with information in our lobby.
